35,000 photography fans logged on to see the winners of the 5th Annual Black and White Spider Awards, making it the biggest online audience for the PHOTOSHOW to date.

USA and Poland Win Top Honors at 5th Annual Spider Awards
USA and Poland won top honors at the 5th Annual Black and White Spider Awards PHOTOSHOW Sunday, January 24th, 2010.
"Photograph of the Year" went to Shane Van Boxtel of USA for "Leap of Faith," a first place winner in Advertising and to Maciej Duczynski of Poland for Fine Art winner "At the edge of the world." Austrian Werner Branz won a historic third title in the "Photographer of the Year" category for his Nature winner "Coldness" which received the Merit of Excellence.
Upon receiving the most prestigious award in black and white photography Branz's acceptance speech was "I´m honestly moved by realizing that I´ve won "Photographer of the Year" 2005, 2006 and now 2010! What a great feeling! I´m overwhelmed and so happy". Read Acceptance Speeches
84 coveted title awards in 28 categories where nominated by members of the awards international Jury, featuring captains of the industry from Magnum Photos, The Armory Show, Fratelli Alinari, Contrasto to Tate and Hamiltons in London.
